Course Content

What the Course Covers

A refresher, not a formality. The range standard is the same one you passed the first time.

01

Use of Force Review

The law has moved. This module covers current California standards on deadly force — the part most officers are out of date on.

02

Firearms Law Update

Changes to carry, transport and storage law since your last qualification.

03

Safe Handling Refresher

Loading, unloading, malfunction clearing, and holster discipline under time pressure.

04

Range Qualification

Live-fire qualification to the BSIS standard. You shoot it, or you do not pass.

05

Written Examination

A written test on law and safety. Both the range and the written must be passed.

06

Certificate & Permit

Pass both and we issue your Certificate of Training for your BSIS permit renewal.
