What the Course Covers
Built to satisfy the firearms-training requirement on your CCW application.

California Firearms Law
Carry laws, prohibited places, transport and storage requirements, and what changes once you hold a CCW.

Use of Force & Liability
When deadly force is and is not justified, the legal aftermath, and civil exposure. The most important hours of the course.

Safe Handling
The four rules, loading and unloading, malfunction clearing, holster discipline, and safe storage at home.
04
Marksmanship
Grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, and accurate shot placement under pressure.
05
Live-Fire Qualification
Range qualification with your carry firearm, shot to the standard your licensing agency expects.

Renewal (CCW2)
Already licensed? The 8-hour renewal course refreshes law and use-of-force, then requalifies you on the range.
Important: your CCW license is issued by your local Sheriff or Chief of Police
Not by MSTA, and not by BSIS. Each county sets its own application process, good-cause standard, and fees. What we provide is the firearms training course your application requires — and a Certificate of Training to prove you completed it. Check your county’s requirements before you enroll.

Be 21 or Older
California requires CCW applicants to be at least 21 years of age.

Bring Valid ID
A California driver license or state ID. Your licensing agency will run its own background check.
03
Bring Your Firearm
You qualify on the firearm you intend to carry. Call us first if you need guidance — orientation is free.
Ready to Enroll?
Free orientation. Walk-ins welcome Mon–Fri. Certificate of Training issued on successful completion.
