The State of California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) required initial forty (40) hours Security Guard (G) Training Course has been updated.The new training pursuant to Assembly Bill 229 (Chapter 697, Statutes of 2021), includes the recent revisions to the Power to Arrest; the Appropriate Use of Force; and the Firearms Qualification training requirements.Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force training requirements:The Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force training course now consists of two (2) subjects, with a total of eight (8) hours of training and are administered in classroom, as follow:
